MDS - A Moment in my Tummy, Heather’s Class2

Happy Download Tuesday!  Check them out on My DigitalStudio.net!
Heather showed us how she puts a page together using a sketch.  Totally up my alley as I ALWAYS need something to kick start me.  Sometimes my page doesn’t look anything like the sketch I started out with but I ALWAYS need a starter kit!  I really envy people that can just put a page together like Heather!
Paper: Textured Soft Suede, Grad Party, Christmas Cocoa 11.

Stamps: Oh Splat, Timeless, Hello Doily, Hawaii Papaya, Nursery Necessities, Holiday Blitz.

Embellishments: Downtown Grunge, Mis-Stitched.

Punches: Square, Flag, Scallop Edge.

Font: Simply Glamorous.

MDS - Billie, Heather’s Class2

If you want in on Heather’s tricks & tips, you still have time to sign up to her MDS MadeSimple 2 class.  Because the daily posts don't happen anymore, the site remains open with the content, videos, photos, and discussions etc available until the end of October.  She has given her students permission to post our pages that we did in her class to our Blogs.  I intend to post a page every Tuesday and keep my regular Scrap pages coming on Fridays.

MDS - Eat Our Dust, Heather’s Class

Once again, it is TUESDAY!!  You know what that means!!  DOWNLOAD DAY!!  Yippee Yahoo!
Another great layout from Heather’s Bonus class of 10 days.  This time she showed us how to make a Dresden shape using the pennant punch & the half circle punch.  I still haven’t purchased the half circle punch (don’t even know what my hold up is – I’m sure I can spare $1.25!!) so I used the full circle punch.  I didn’t take as much time to line things up as Heather showed us in her class video but I’m happy with it!  Heather has her page on her Blog HERE or I've pasted it at the bottom of this post.  Thankyou to Jeanette Smith for suggesting Scrapbook.com for page titles!  I use it all the time now!  Sign up to Heather's class HERE.
Paper: Crushed Curry (opacity to 90); Happy Bday.

Punches:  Circle, Pennant, Timeless Type Junior Alphabet.

Stamps: Piece of Cake (flag), Hello Doily – Crush Curry, changed Opacity to 50 & the Blur to full, Vintage Overlay 5 - Crush Curry, changed Opacity to full & the Blur to full.

Embellishments: Downtown Grunge (frames), Vintage Trinkets (safety pin & buttons), Happy Bday borders (shortened my ribbons by right clicking on the ribbon once it was on my page. Edit Object - (my Units are in inches) then change the width ONLY (in my case, I changed it to 4). You MUST unclick the Keep Proportions box before X'ing out).

Heather Summers from Stamp with Heather, offered a MDS Made Simple Class at the beginning of February – so worth taking!  Her MDS Made Simple 2 started April 16!!  I highly recommend getting in on this one.   She taught us soooo much in the 1st class; I’m excited to see what she has for us this time!  Check her Blog for details.

This is a total CASE of Heather’s page!  Love it!  I just happen to have the perfect picture too!  She had put her page on her Blog so check it out at the bottom of this post or click HERE.  Heather showed us how to zoom in & out on our photos.  I didn’t know I could do this!  Cool!  I have used this function a lot since then.  She had a video on the start to finish of her page.  Very enjoyable!
Background: Beau Chateau.

Stamps: Once Upon a Time, Vintage Overlay in Soft Suede with the opacity changed to 60.

MDS - Missing Fairy Glen, Heather’s Class

Heather Summers from Stamp with Heather, offered a MDS Made Simple Class at the beginning of February – so worth taking.  Her MDS Made Simple 2 started yesterday, April 16.  I highly recommend getting in on this one.   She taught us soooo much in the 1st class; I’m excited to see what she has for us this time!  Check her Blog for details.

Here is my take on Heather's page. Love this layout.  In this class, Heather showed us her thought process when making a scrap page from start to finish.  Very interesting!  My page is, of course, a basic copy of hers.
Paper: Bashful Blue; Bella Rose.

Embellishments: added the clouds from the Sunny Day kit.  I resized & flipped them; grosgrain ribbon, Downtown Grunge frames.

Punch: Square, Lace Ribbon Border, Flag, Circle.

Stamps: I used the chalkboard from the Notes stamp set to make my digital tape, resized it & changed the opacity to about 65.

(Purchased) Font: CK Lautric size 64.
