Ahoy There - One Hour Card Class 030 OHCC030

Stamps: Seaside Shore.

Ink: Dapper Denim, Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron.

Cardstock: kraft paper for envelope, Very Vanilla, Mint Macaron, Dapper Denim.

Accessories: Snail Adhesive, envelope punch board, Stampin’ Trimmer, scissors, bone folder, pencil, eraser, Sponge, Dimensionals, silicone craft sheet, Wink of Stella, silver sequins, Seaside embossing folder.

Punches: Coluzzle circle or Layering Circle Framelits.
Prepare card by cutting Dapper Denim cardstock at 4-1/4” x 8-1/2”.  Fold in half to create a top fold card – a bone folder gives you a crisp fold.  Stamp and sign the back.  Set aside.

Cut a Very Vanilla white panel at 5-1/4” x 4” for the inside of the card.  Sponge edges Dapper Denim.  Stamp the phrase in Dapper Denim.  Stamp a fish in Calypso Coral.  Stamp the seaweeds in Mint Macaron around the fish.  Add Mint Macaron bubbles.  Adhere to the inside of the card.

Cut a Mint Macaron panel at 5” x 3-3/4” for the outside of the card.  Sponge edges in Mint Macaron.  Cut a 2-1/2” circle allowing for mounts at the top.  Run through the embossing folder with the inked side facing the logo: (Big Shot – Platform – cutting pad – embossing folder – cutting pad).  Sponge hole with Mint Macaron.  Set aside.

Cut a Very Vanilla panel at 5-1/4” x 4” for the outside of the card.  Lay the embossed piece on top of the Very Vanilla panel and lightly trace the circle.  Stamp seaweed and bubbles within the circle on the Very Vanilla panel in Mint Macaron.  Adhere to the card front.  Erase pencil lines.  Set aside.

Stamp the rope and knot in Calypso Coral.  Cut out.  Touch rope ends with a Calypso Coral marker if needed.   Adhere to embossed panel just under the port hole.  Wrap ends of rope to the back.  Set aside.

Stamp ‘Ahoy There’ in Dapper Denim.  Cut out and adhere to the bottom of the embossed panel.

Stamp a fish in Calypso Coral and another one in Dapper Denim.  Cut out.  Color with Wink of Stella.  Set aside.

Add mounts to the embossed panel and adhere to the card front. Add a dab of glue to center of each fish and adhere in the hole.  Add sequins.

Make an envelope using the envelope punch board.  Decorate with stamp images.

Butterfly Punch Pansy - One Hour Card Class 013 OHCC013

This is one of those ‘old’ techniques that never gets old!  If you look closely, you can see they are made from to Butterfly punches that are layered with an brad holding them together in the center.

Punch out two butterflies from Shimmer White cardstock – you need two for each flower.  Spritz them with water, allowing the water to pool.  Load Aqua Painter with Crushed Curry ink from a re-inker and touch the brush to the middle of the butterflies.   The ink will spread, but you might have to "help" it along.

Touch the outside edges with Elegant Eggplant ink from a re-inker.

Let dry.  Use Eggplant Envy Marker to draw lines to the center of the butterflies.  Curl wings with a bone folder.

Adhere one butterfly crosswise over the other with a gold brad.

We lined an envelope for this card following THIS tutorial.

Cardstock: SU! Shimmer, Crushed Curry, Elegant Eggplant, Garden Green, White.

Stamp Sets: Butterfly Basics, Dots for Days, a signature stamp or an address label.

Ink: Garden Green, Crushed Curry re-inker, Pale Plum re-inker, Elegant Eggplant marker,

Accessories: Snail Adhesive, Sponge, Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, envelope, Stampin’ Trimmer, scissors, bone folder, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Beautiful Wings embosslit, circle Coluzzle, painter’s palette, spritz bottle, aqua painter, Paper Piercer, Fine Tip glue pen, Sizzlits Little Leaves,

Punch: Martha Stewarts border, Martha Stewarts medium branch, Butterfly.

Splattering Cardstock - One Hour Card Class 026 OHCC026

This is a total case off Pinterest!  I am in love with this stamp set especially when it is paired with the Butterfly Basics Photopolymer stamp set and the Butterflies Thinlits Dies.  This is a great set for birthday, sympathy, congratulation or any card!

Splatter the small piece of Very Vanilla panel by dipping a wet toothbrush into a dab of Crumb Cake re-inker.

Helps give that grunge look.

Stamp the fern stamp in Wild Wasabi to create a dimensional effect, then stamp the honeycomb image in Hello Honey.  I stamped off the honeycomb on another piece of paper so it wasn’t so dark.

Stamp and die cut the butterfly using the butterfly thinlit. Punch a small butterfly from vellum.  Add a flower then a pearl.

Stamp and punch a small butterfly in Hello Honey ink. Color with Wink of Stella.

Stamp the sentiment in Hello Honey ink.  Easy, peasy and just gorgeous!

We used some DSP from my stash to make the envelope with the envelope punch board.

Stamp: Butterfly Basics.

Card Stock: paper for envelope, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, So Saffron or Hello Honey, White Vellum.

Ink: Calypso Coral, Wild Wasabi, So Saffron or Hello Honey, Crumb Cake.

Accessories: Snail Adhesive, Tombow Glue, glue dots, envelope punch board, Stampin’ Trimmer, scissors, bone folder, pencil, Sponge, Dimensionals, silicone craft sheet, clear Wink of Stella, Pearl Basic Jewels, Butterflies Thinlits, Pearls, Crumb Cake re-inker, old toothbrush.

Punches: Elegant Butterfly, Bitty Butterfly, Itty Bitty Shapes, Border Edge Scallop.

SU263 Black and White Birthday Celebrations

Here is another retired stamp set, Upsy Daisy.  I found this layout on Pinterest.  The black panel is cut 5-1/4“x 4“.  The white panel is 1-3/4“x 3-3/4“and ran through the Stripes EF.  I didn’t have any Newsprint DSP so I used a page from a book – our library always has boxes of free books and cut it at 3“long x 3-3/4“wide.

Paper: Black, White, page from a book.

Stamps: Upsy Daisy, Smarty Pants (inside).

Ink: Versamark, Black.

Accessories: Black embossing powder, sponge, Stripes EF, mounts.

Craft - How to make Flags using a Square Punch and Workshop Cards

Before I show you the cards I made at Joanne’s SU Workshop for February, I would like to show you how to make a flag or a flag end.  Stamp and cut out a rectangle – any width will work.  Mark a light pencil line where you want the flag end to be.

It helps to mark the center width of the rectangle too.  Align one short end of the cardstock in the corner of your square punch – I used SU!’s 13/8” square punch.

Presto!  Takes a bit of practice but it is that easy!

Erase your pencil marks.  Ok, on to the cards.
