Urban Underground DSP – LICI-E-08 of 11

Stamps: Home to Roost (inside SAB 2019).

Cardstock: Black, Very Vanilla, Silver Foil, Urban Underground DSP (Occasions 2017), Lovely Lipstick foil.

Ink: Black (inside).

Tools: Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, glue dots, dimensionals, Black/Silver ¼” metallic ribbon (Occasions 2019), sequins, black baker’s twine.

Punches/Dies: Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits dies, Hello Thinlits (2016/17).

I used one of the half sheets (3x6) of black with brushed silver foil for this card then cut it in half to fit on my Vanilla panel.  The Lovely Lipstick foil is stunning!

I had joined a Paper Share for the Occasions 2017 catalogue.  And as usual, SU! has the most stunning papers but the catalogue does not do them justice.  A Paper Share allows you to see the detail, patterns and weight of each DSP before committing to buying a full pack.  For the designs you love, you can always order a full pack if the catalogue is still current!  From the Urban Underground DSP Paper Share, I ended up with 5 sheets of 6x6 paper plus 2 half sheets (3x6) of black with brushed silver foil.  I have Loved It long enough, time to Chop It and use it thanks to Kylie Bertucci!

Jar of Love – LICI-B-05

Stamps: Jar of Love, Itty Bitty Birthdays.

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Everyday Enchantment DSP (SAB 2012), Calypso Coral.

Ink: Calypso Coral (on envelope), Pool Party, Soft Suede, Wild Wasabi.

Tools: Stamparatus, bone folder, purchased envelope, sponge, dimensionals, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, regular and mini glue dots, rhinestones, Old Olive baker’s twine, Subtle embossing folder.

Punches/Dies: Trio Flower punch, Label punch, Everyday Jars Framelits.

Will need a Very Vanilla panel at 5-1/4 x 4, a 1-3/8” strip of DSP from your Love It Chop It pile, a Calypso Coral card, a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock for the lid, a scrap of Calypso Coral cardstock for the flowers and phrase.

Set the Very Vanilla panel on the Stamparatus.  Lay the DSP strip on the left side of the panel, now position the medium jar.  Remove the DSP.  Stamp the jar in Soft Suede ink.

Sponge the bottom of the jar with Pool Party to represent water.

Stamp the branch in the center of the jar with Wild Wasabi ink.  Clean the stamp.  Move it to the left and right and stamp again in the jar.

Run the panel through the Subtle EF.  The rest is fairly straight forward.

Stamp a phrase with Soft Suede ink and a branch with Wild Wasabi ink for the inside of the card.  Stamp a couple of branches with Wild Wasabi ink and the tiny flower with Calypso Coral ink on the front of an envelope – both stamps are from the Jar of Love stamp set.

I have loved and now chopped the entire package of my Everyday Enchantment DSP from 2012!  I chopped it in 5-1/4” strips then cut the strips into 4” pieces.  Kept the leftover strips too.  I cut the cardboard backing from the DSP to fit in a Full Wide Stamp case. I checked my ribbons to see what I had that matched and taped a small piece to the cardboard.  Stored all the chopped DSP in a Full Wide Stamp case.

Vintage Flower – LICI-B-02

Stamps: Happiest Birthday Wishes (Hostess 2011/12), Butterfly Basics (2017/18).

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Everyday Enchantment DSP (SAB 2012)

Ink: Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Soft Suede.

Tools: Everyday Enchanted brad, Basic Pearls, Calypso Coral Ribbon, Stamparatus, bone folder, purchased envelope, sponge, dimensionals, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, regular and mini glue dots, Tufted embossing folder, Subtle embossing folder, spritzer, Silicone Craft Sheet.

Punches/Dies: Blossom Punch, Bitty Butterfly punch, Silent Setter, Butterflies Thinlits Die.

To make the flower, punch two flowers from Pool Party cardstock.

Punch a hole in the center of each flower using the silent setter.  Sponge flower edges on both sides with Soft Suede ink.

Very lightly spritz the front and back of both flowers.  Roll into a tight ball.

Open flowers.  Some of the ink may bleed but that’s ok.  That is what gives it a vintage look.

And of course, the inside phrase and an envelope!

I’m still working on the Everyday Enchantment DSP that I have loved and now chopped.  I chopped it in 5-1/4” strips then cut the strips into 4” pieces.  Kept the leftover strips too.  I have stored them in a Full Wide Stamp case.  Kylie Bertucci has given us permission to Love It Chop It.
