Paint Chip Card - One Hour Card Class 017 OHCC017

Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, White, Island Indigo, Crushed Curry, Black (or whatever colors match your paint chip).

Stamp Sets: Something to say (Happy Birthday), Timeless Treasures, Petite Petals, Smarty Pants for inside (retired), a signature stamp like Creatively Yours or an address label.

Ink: Black, Gray.

Accessories: Snail Adhesive, Stampin’ Sponge, Gently Falling Embossing Folder, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, rhinestones, envelope, Stampin’ Trimmer, scissors, bone folder, Coastal Cabana Thick Bakers Twine, Tangerine Tango Bakers Twine, Little Numbers Thinlits, paper piercer tool, fine tip glue pen.

Punch: Little Accents pack, Petite Petals, word window, 1/8” circle.

Prepare card by cutting orange cardstock at 5.5” x 8.5”.  Fold in half to create a side fold card – a bone folder gives you a crisp fold.  Stamp and sign the back.  Ink the grunge stamps in gray ink, stamp off on scrap paper then stamp the front edges.    Set aside.

Cut bottom strip off the paint card.  Cut the top into a tag with the template.  Punch the hole.  Sponge edges black.  Punch a flower from each color of the paint chip – make sure the middle flower is punched to the far right.  Curl the petals with a bone folder.  Adhere the tag to a 2-1/4” x 4” black mat.  Re-punch the hole.  Add 4” cabana twine.  Tie a bow around it with orange twine.  Punch 3 circles from yellow and adhere to the center of the flowers on the tag.  Set aside.

Cut a panel 5-1/4” x 4” from white cardstock for the inside.  Grunge the bottom with a border in gray ink.  Add dots in orange.  Sponge edges in blue.  Punch 3 flowers from the discarded paint strip and adhere over the stamped grunge.  Add yellow circle centers to each flower.  Stamp a phrase in gray.  Use Snail Adhesive to adhere panel to the inside of the card.  Set aside.

Cut a strip of blue cardstock 1” wide by 5-1/2”.  Cut one end into a flag.  Sponge edges in black.  Run through the embossing folder with sponged edges facing the Sizziz logo.  Adhere about ½” from fold of card.  Set aside.

Cut a strip of yellow cardstock 1-3/8” wide by 5-1/2”.  Cut one end into a flag.  Sponge edges in black.  Run through the embossing folder with sponged edges facing the Sizziz logo and the majority of the dots at the flag end.  Adhere about 1” from fold of card.  Trim tops even with card and re-sponge.  Set aside.

Adhere tag to the card front.  I like to add a little liquid glue behind the twine to hold it in place.  Trim twine.  Set aside.

Stamp 3 dotted flowers with black ink on to orange cardstock and punch out.  Punch 3 small black flowers.  Curl all petals with the bone folder.  Adhere blue flowers to the center of the orange ones.  Arrange in a pleasing manner to the card front.  Add the black flowers – may have to remove one petal from some of the black flowers so they tuck a little better under the orange flowers.  Set aside.

Stamp Happy Birthday on white cardstock with black ink.  Punch out and cut the words apart.  Sponge edges in black ink.  Use the Thinlits to cut 40th from orange cardstock.  Remove from the dies using the paper piercer tool.  Use the fine tip glue pen to adhere in a pleasing manner to the tag.

Repeat the grunge stamping on the envelope front.  Use the dotted flower stamp for the orange flowers.
