Milestone Birthday – 8 years old – B08d

Ohhhh!!  Where would I be without Pinterest!  I think it was Pat’s card that inspired me the most.   The background paper was something I found in my stash.

Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Sunshine Yellow, Real Red, Pacific Point, Whisper White.
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Black.
Stamp: Happiest Birthday Wishes, Memorable Memories.
Accessories: sponge, Stampin Chalk, Swiss Dots EF.
Punches: ½” circle, ¾” circle.

The Lego measurements are as follows:
Four button block in Real Red:  1-1/4” x 1-1/4”.
Six button block in Sunshine Yellow:  1-1/4” x 1-3/4”.
Eight button block in Pacific Point:  1-1/4” x 2-1/2”.

Used the same poem as B08b.

Milestone Birthday – 8 years old – B08c

Lynn Pratt’s Lego card gave me a great idea – instead of having the top Lego piece pull out, I attached it with a brad so that it would swing open!

I balled up a piece of wax paper and pounced with Pacific Point onto my card front.  I cut each block 3.25 inches by 1.5 inches.  The circles are from the large circle on the Owl Punch, edges are sponged and highlights added with the gel pen.  Like Lynn, I used the Word Window Punch, cut in half for the top bumps and lined them up evenly using the SU Grid paper.

Used the same poem as B08b.

Cardstock: White, Yo Yo Yellow, Real Red, Pacific Point.
Ink: Pacific Point, Soft Suede, black.
Stamp: Look Who’s Turning.
Accessories: sponge, wax paper, Square Lattice EF, white gel pen, brad,
Punches: Owl Builder, Word Window, ¾” circle, 1/16” hole.

Milestone Birthday – 8 years old – B08b

Decided to change my theme from Frogs to Lego for my 8 year old birthday cards.  I started out with an orange card and mounted it with Midnight Muse.  I cut a white piece at 3.75 inches by 5 inches then scalloped the bottom edge.  I cut each lego block at 2 x 1.25 inches.  I found this card on Pinterest.

Here is the poem I used for this 8 year old card.
Heads ,shoulders , knees and toes
This is how the story goes
First you tiptoe round and round
Sometimes falling to the ground.
You may be small but one day you'll be
Like a flower or a tree
Growing stronger everyday
Leaving your footprints along the way.
Happy 8th birthday!

Cardstock: Only Orange, Midnight Muse, Yo Yo Yellow, white, Garden Green.
Ink: Only Orange, Midnight Muse, Basic Gray.
Stamp: Bring on the Cake, Memorable Moments.
Accessories: sponge, Only Orange marker, white gel pen.
Punches: ½ inch circle, scallop edge border, modern label.

Milestone Birthday – 8 year old – B08a

On to 8 year old birthday cards.  I’m thinking Frogs would be a good theme.

Cardstock: Sage Shadow, Hunter Green, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla.
Punch: Postage Stamp, Word Window, Circle Coluzzle.
Ink: Sage Shadow, Hunter Green.
Accessories: Nesties rectangular scallop, Stampin Around Spot on wheel.
Stamp: Unfrogettable, 8 is by Magenta.

Poem I used inside:

Now you’re eight and growing tall.
That pencil mark upon the wall
is very high and pretty soon
you’ll touch the moon.
