Dashing Deer - LICI-D-07

I had joined a Paper Share when the 2018 Holiday catalogue came out.  Paper Shares are a great way of seeing all the paper in the catalogue plus you don’t have a huge amount of paper to touch and feel and smell and store etc for years!!  Figured I had loved it long enough, so it was time to chop it!  I had 12 sheets of 6” x 6“paper, two of each design of this beautiful double-sided Joyous Noel Specialty DSP.  One side is designed with copper foil accents, it is just stunning! The other side is absolutely stunning too but there is just something about that copper!   I ended up with 24 cards, two of each card.  So here is my 7th of 12, Love It Chop It cards, using this DSP.

Stamps: Dashing Deer (inside, Holiday 2018).

Cardstock: White, Tranquil Tide, Myth’s and Magic Glimmer Paper, Joyous Noel Specialty DSP (Holiday 2018).

Ink: Versamark, Tranquil Tide.

Tools: Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, glue dots, sequins, Copper embossing powder.

Punches/Dies: Blizzard Thinlits Die, Detailed Deer Thinlits dies.

Used a full panel from my Love It Chop It pile (5-1/4” x 4”).  I cut it down to 3-3/4” x 5” and adhered to a 5-1/4” x 4” white panel. Cut 2 pieces of Myth’s and Magic Glimmer Paper 1” x 4-1/4”. Tear one long edge of each.  Add dimensionals to the top piece and add to the bottom of the DSP to look like snow. Trim edges then add to the card front.

I don’t have the Copper Foil so I pounced my Versamark ink pad on to a fair size piece of cardstock, poured Copper embossing powder over it and heat embossed.  Then die cut the deer.  I also cut both deer in Whisper White card stock, layered the copper deer on top of the Whisper White deer offsetting them so that there is a “white shadow” showing as Mary Knabe did for the inspiration of my card.

I used the Blizzard Thinlits Die to cut the snowflakes from Myth’s and Magic Glimmer Paper.  Added some sequins from my stash.

Stamped an image and phrase for the inside of the card.  Since I saved that small strip that I cut off my DSP panel, I adhered it to the bottom.

Happiest Christmas Wishes - LICI-D-04

Stamps: Dashing Deer.

Cardstock: White, Merry Merlot, Mint Macaron, Tranquil Tide, Joyous Noel Specialty DSP (Holiday 2018).

Ink: Versamark, Merry Merlot (inside), Tranquil Tide (inside).

Tools: dimensionals, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, glue dots, sequins, Copper embossing powder.

Punches/Dies: Stitched Banner dies (non SU!), Detailed Deer Thinlits dies, Pretty Pines Thinlits dies.

Used a full panel from my Love It Chop It pile (5-1/4” x 4”).  Adhere to card front.  I don’t have the Copper Foil so I pounced my Versamark ink pad on to a fair size of cardstock, poured Copper embossing powder over it and heat embossed.  Then punched and die cut as normal.  The rest is straight forward!

Stamped an image to go with the phrase for the inside of the card.

Noel Bells - LICI-D-01

So here is my first of 12 Love It Chop It cards using this DSP.

Stamps: Greetings of the Season (Holiday 2012), Dashing Deer (inside).

Cardstock: Tranquil Tide, Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper, Joyous Noel Specialty DSP (Holiday 2018).

Ink: Versamark, Merry Merlot (inside), Tranquil Tide (inside).

Tools: dimensionals, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, glue dots, Seam Binding ribbon, White embossing powder, Copper Thread, Bell trinkets.

Punches/Dies: Sprig punch.

Used a full panel from my Love It Chop It pile (5-1/4” x 4”).  Cut it again at 3-1/4”, flipped the shorter piece over and taped it back to the bigger piece.  Stamped the sentiment in VersaMark, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder and heat embossed it. Cover the join with a ribbon.  Adhere to card front.

Added a bit of copper thread behind the ribbon.

Adhere one of the strip wastes that we cut from our Love It Chop It stash to the inside of the card.

Dashing Deer - LICI-B-15

This is card #15 of 24 cards I made by loving and chopping the entire package of my Everyday Enchantment DSP!  I made 4 of each card so a total of 96 cards!  It is such a good way of using the DSP that has sat on my shelf for years!  Do watch Kylie Bertucci’s video on how to do this!

Stamps: Dashing Deer.

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, vellum, Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Everyday Enchantment DSP (SAB 2012).

Ink: Crumb Cake, Versa Mark, Granny Apple Green (inside), Soft Suede.

Tools: Stamparatus, bone folder, purchased envelope, sponge, dimensionals, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, regular and mini glue dots, pearls, Subtle embossing folder, Embossing Buddy, Iridescent Ice embossing powder, Wink of Stella.

Punches/Dies: Sprig punch, Detailed Deer Thinlits Dies.

Use a full panel from your Love It Chop It pile (5-1/4” x 4”) for this card.  Punch two sprigs from vellum using the Sprig punch.  Attach to the card front.

Cut Very Vanilla cardstock 2-1/2” x 3-1/4”.  Cut on the diagonal before stamp the phrase at the bottom in Crumb Cake ink.  Run through the Subtle EF with phrase facing the Logo.  Set aside.

It doesn’t show but I did emboss my deer using Crumb Cake dye ink and Versa Mark.  Create with Kaitlyn has a great picture tutorial on how to heat emboss using dye inks.

Die cut 3 flowers from the Detailed Deer dies in Pool Party cardstock.  Color the flowers with Wink of Stella.  Add pearls to the antlers and the flowers.

Stamp a phrase and some images to the inside of the card.  Decorate the envelope.
