Stamp: Reason
for the Season.
Cardstock: Old
Olive, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Holiday Thyme DSP (retired), 8” square DSP
paper for envelope.
Ink: Cherry
Cobbler, Old Olive.
Accessories: Snail
Adhesive, Tombow Glue, envelope punch board, Stampin’ Trimmer, scissors, bone
folder, pencil, Sponges, Dimensionals, silicone craft sheet, Metallic Glitter
Tape (SAB 2016) or Gold Glimmer paper, lace, stylus, gold glitter glue.
Punch: Festive
Flower Builder.
Prepare card by cutting Old Olive cardstock at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”. Fold in half for a side fold card – a bone folder gives you a crisp fold. Stamp and sign the back. Set aside.
Cut a vanilla panel at 5-1/4” x 4” for the inside of the
card. Sponge edges Cherry Cobbler. Cover the ‘To You’ part of the phrase with
scotch tape.
Ink the stamp in Old Olive.
Remove tape and stamp the phrase.
Ink the poinsettia stamp in Cherry Cobbler once and stamp
three times at the bottom of the panel.
Add gold glitter glue to the centers.
Set aside to dry.
Cut a piece of Holiday Thyme DSP 3-3/4” x
5-1/2". Sponge top and bottom of
panel with Cherry Cobbler (the sides will be covered). Along the 5-1/2" side, I went to the
center marking (2-3/4") and made a 1-3/4" long pencil mark on my
paper. Score from the dot to the corners
of the DSP. Cut on the pencil mark. Fold the two flaps back. Sponge the edges and
the fold. Slightly curl both
points. Adhere panel to card front with
the points of the DSP at the points of the card front.
Draw a line about 3/8” from fold of card. Adhere lace to the right of that line.
Apply glitter tape next to the fold to cover the edge of
lace. Trim top and bottom.
Stamp the phrase onto the card at the drapery opening
with Cherry ink. Place Dimensionals
behind each flap - about half way between the drapery fold and points.
Stamp and punch eight double petals in Cherry
Cobbler. Sponge edges in cherry. Draw a score line down the center of each
petal. Fold on the score line and pinch
the points. Glue four petals together at
a time then glue the eight together.
Re-pinch the ends. Glue to the
drapery opening point on the card.
Punch two double petals from Old Olive. Sponge edges in olive. Draw a score line down the center of each
petal. Fold on the score line and pinch
the points. Rip the petals in half and
adhere under the poinsettia in a pleasing manner.
Press about ½” of glitter tape on to light weight
cardstock. Punch out
the "X" flower center from the punch. Repeat for another center.
Glue one to the center of the flower. Alternate direction and glue second center.
Make an envelope from DSP using the envelope punch board.
If the glitter glue is dry on the Vanilla panel, adhere it
to the inside of the card.
