Mermaid Hair Wooden Sign

Approximate size: 5-1/2” high x 18” long.
I have used pallet boards for this sign.  Given the nature of these boards, each sign has its own unique flaws that add to the character of the finished product as far as I am concerned but can cause some bleeding of the paint.  It has twine on the back for easy hanging.

August 2017 Paper Pumpkin Giftable Greetings Alternatives

The August 2017 Giftable Greetings Paper Pumpkin kit is tropical themed, with bright colors, beautiful flowers and leaf die cuts.  It also includes a decorative box you can use to wrap up all your creations and give as a gift if you desire.  The kit includes enough supplies to make eight handmade cards with various greetings.  Some of the greetings are pre-printed and some can be stamped.

I completely depleted this box and ended up with about 24 cards! These are the extras I used on my alternatives.  All other items were supplied in the August 2017 Giftable Greetings Paper Pumpkin kit.  Most of my inspiration came from Pinterest, of course!

Cards 1 to 3 of 7 alternatives.
We spent a couple days babysitting our grand sons, so I grabbed the August 2017 Paper Pumpkin box to work on while we were there.

The boys are 11 and 13 so they don’t really ‘need’ us to do the entertaining anymore.  I didn’t stray too far from the directions as I hadn’t taken much else with me.

Once I got home, I added some faux brads to a couple of them by punching tiny circles from cardstock and adding Crystal Effects.

Card 4 of 7 alternative.

Cardstock: Night of Navy, Peekaboo Peach, vellum.
Extras: rhinestones, square lattice embossing folder.

Card 5 of 7 alternative.
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Peekaboo Peach, Calypso Coral, Pool Party.
Ink: Night of Navy, Peekaboo Peach, Garden Green.
Extras: rhinestones, square lattice embossing folder, Layering ovals framelits, doily.

Card 6 of 7 alternative.
Cardstock: Night of Navy, White.
Ink: Night of Navy, Peekaboo Peach, Pool Party.
Extras: pearl, doily, sponge.

Card 7 of 7 alternative.
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Perfectly Artistic DSP (SAB 016).
Ink: Garden Green, Soft Suede, Pool Party.
Extras: rhinestones, distressing tool, linen thread, Softly Falling embossing folder, sponge.

Here is the August 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit and the cards it was designed to make.

The kit includes: Giftable Greetings stamp set, Night of Navy ink spot, 8 printed card bases (4 each of 2 colors), 8 printed envelopes (4 each of 2 colors), 1 printed card box, 1 clear box lid, 3 sheets leaf stickers, 2 sheets die cut flowers (1 each of 2 colors), 2 sheets printed die cut ovals, 1 sheet blank die cut ovals, 1 sheet printed die cut tags, 1 sheet printed die cut flowers, 2/3 yard navy baker’s twine, 1 yard striped ribbon, 50 dimensionals, 50 adhesive dots.  Coordinating SU! colors are Calypso Coral, Garden Green, Old Olive, Peekaboo Peach, Pool Party.

July 2018 Picnic Paradise Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

This July 2018 Picnic Paradise Paper Pumpkin kit has enough supplies to make twelve 3"x 3" cards, with envelopes, and 4 cute picnic baskets. A 9-piece stamp set, Ink Spot, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals, White Baker's Twine, Gingham Tissue Paper, Printed Vellum, Tag & Label pieces & Fruit die cuts are all included! Since I don't use 3" x 3" cards I decided to make full-size cards as usual.

A Card from my stash.
Green Galore ink for the phrase and stripes.
I backed my strawberry with white cardstock.
Pearlized Doilies.
Red sequins.

B Ruby Red card.
White panel put through the Basket Weave EF.
Re-colored the white baker’s twine by running it through the Lemon Lime Twist ink pad.
Colored my apple with Wink of Stella.
Green sequins.

C White card then a Brilliant Blue panel.
Splattered my white panel using a wet toothbrush and Real Red re-inker.  Punched the flower with the Daisy Punch.  I backed the flower opening with a piece of an envelope. The stem is stamped with Lemon Lime Twist ink from the Jar of Love stamp set. The phrase is stamped with Brilliant Blue ink from the Love What You Do stamp set.
Green sequins and a button.

D Lemon Lime Twist card.
Cut Crumb Cake cardstock with the Delicate Lace Edgelits.  Used three hearts from the edgelit to add to my card.
Used Wink of Stella on the apple and hearts.

Splattered my white panel using a wet toothbrush and Real Red re-inker then ran it through the Brick Wall EF.  Sponged with Crumb Cake ink.

F Real Red card.

Real Red ink for the phrase.
Strawberries were backed with black cardstock and sponged in white ink.
Used the basket handle and brads that were in the kit.

G Brilliant Blue card.
Sponged with Soft Suede.  Used my Brilliant Blue marker to add the stem placement.

Poppy Parade ink for the phrase.
I used the Subtle EF on my white panel.
Red sequins
.
H Crumb Cake card.
Jar of Love stamp set stamped in Crumb Cake ink and sponged with Soft Suede.
Used the Everyday Jars Framelits to cut them out.  I did add a pleat of blue tissue paper under the small lid but it didn’t show up very good.
The blueberry jelly was stamped with Brilliant Blue ink.
I used my ¾” circle punch to make a smaller blueberry and my Brilliant Blue marker to add the stem placement.
The white panel was put through the Stylish Stripes EF.
Blue sequins.

I Green Galore card sponged with Soft Suede ink.
I used a piece of the tissue supplied in the kit as my background.
I cut down one of the note cards supplied in the kit using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I then had to trim the vellum piece with a pair of decorative scissors from my stash.
Sponged my berries with white ink and used my Brilliant Blue marker to add the stem placement.
Lemon Lime Twist ink was used for the phrase.
Topped with sequins.

J Real Red card.
Stamped the white panel with images from the Gorgeous Grunge and Amazing You stamp sets using Real Red and Basic Grey ink then ran it through the Subtle EF.  Sponged in Real Red ink.
Cut the stems off my strawberries then stamped them with seeds in Basic Grey ink from the Waterfront stamp set.  Sponged in white ink.
Jar from Jar of Love stamp set stamped in Basic Grey ink and cut out with the Everyday Jars Framelits.  I also cut another jar from a piece of Window Sheet.  I split the jars and added a half inch to make it a little taller.
The phrase is backed with a piece of the envelope.
Red and silver sequins.

K Crumb Cake card.
I used one of the note cards supplied in the kit to make the banner through the Basket Weave EF.
Sponged my blueberry with white ink and used my Brilliant Blue marker to add the stem placement.

I stamped a white panel with the lines stamp in Real Red ink then trimmed to fit behind the apple template.
