Recipe - Cowgirl Cookies

 

 

Instead of giving out treat bags or party favors at my granddaughter’s 8^th birthday party, my daughter followed Bakereall’s tutorial on how put these Cowgirl cookies together.  Bakerealla has a PDF on her blog for the tags for either a cowgirl or cowboy – just print them out and punch!  Super cute and a great idea for any little horse enthusiast!  I have heard that 'cookies in a jar' mixes don't last long - something about the baking soda mixed in the flour.  So don’t make these too early then give them right away!
I had my grandsons over so we decided to follow the instructions for the recipe to make these cookies that is included in the PDF.

 

They each had to take a turn at stirring.

 

Then came time to roll them in balls.

 

Since there was no more room on the cookie sheet, they thought they should just eat the remaining dough - that goes without saying, right??
