I had to try these pansy butterflies as shown on Dawn's blog! So realistic and so easy to do!

SU109 Reflection Technique

REFLECTION OR MIRROR IMAGE TECHNIQUE:

Ink an image and stamp onto card stock.

Ink the same image and stamp onto wax paper.

Turn the wax paper over and line up to create a mirror image.  Rub with your fingers over the wax paper to transfer the image. Use light pressure for a lighter or watery image, more pressure for a crisper image.

Color the reflection a lighter color and tone than the main image for images reflected on water or ice.

I love how stitching adds that special touch to cards. Bringing out the sewing machine is not always an easy thing to do.  Lot easier to do faux stitching instead.

Ink - White Stazon, Night of Navy, More Mustard, Always Artichoke

Accessories - Moss ribbon, Stampaliner, Slit punch, Blender pen, glitter glue (for the flower center and the bee's wings), eyelet, circle punch, white pen, piercing mat.

Used the blender pen to color the images with More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Night of Navy and Bravo Burgundy ink pads.

SU047 Faux Stitching

Stamps - Mini Mates, Sanded.

Cardstock - Barely Banana, Pale Plum, White.
Ink - Barely Banana, Pale Plum.

Accessories - White pen, scallop circle punch, small oval punch, 13/8" circle punch, photo corner punch.

I added some Faux Stitching by punching holes in the cardstock, using a paper piercing tool, a paper piercing pad and a paper piercing template, to make straight lines. Then with the white gel pen, I drew lines from hole to hole to create the look of thread.  So simple to do.   

Stamps - Mini Mates, Sanded.
