Card SU246 Perfect Blend

I have lots of odds n ends of DSP so thought I would try using up some of it.  Kinds CASED Inking by the Bay’s card.  The DSP I used is Petal Patch.  I stamped the coffee cup on Blush Blossom cs, cut it out then stamped the lid and middle on to the DSP, cut it out and mounted it to the card.  Pretty simple!  I just eye balled it to cut out the flag ends.  The mounts have made this a blurry scan!

Cardstock: Close to Cocoa, Blush Blossom, Bashful Blue, Petal Patch DSP from 2006.

Stamps: Perfect Blend.

Ink: Close to Cocoa.

Accessories: Decorative Dots EF, Square Lattice EF, sponge, mounts, linen thread, button.

Punches: Tag, Heart to Heart.

SU208 Faux Polished Stone Technique

Stamps: Simply Said.

Cardstock: Black, Bashful Blue, White, White Glossy.

Ink: Black.

Re-inkers: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Silver Colorbox.

Accessories: cotton ball, rubbing alcohol. White gel pen, Birds and Swirls embossing folder, navy grosgrain ribbon, heart to heart X-Large punch.

To make Faux Polished Stone:

Dampen your cotton ball with rubbing alcohol. I purchased this from our local Drug Store.

Add a drop of Bashful Blue, Night of Navy and Silver Colorbox to the dampened cotton ball.

Dab the cotton ball over glossy cardstock.

You can dab lots or little – just continue dabbing and blending until you achieve the look you want.

The rubbing alcohol will cause the re-inkers to blend together and essentially the paper is ‘resisting’ the ink you put on it.  The Silver Colorbox give a nice metallic sheen to the card.

Set aside for the ink to dry before continuing.

SU177, Wings of Friendship

This is a swap card I made for 'Different Occasions Card Swap' hosted by Maria Oppenheim from Calgary, AB. My plan was to follow the sketch for 'Mojo Turns 100 - Day 2'. I stamped and cut out the pieces then took them to the lake with me to finish. However, I forgot to take the sketch so I just put them together the best I could remember. I forgot to round my corners and to add the ribbon! He turned out looking like a cute little jigger just the same!

Scan doesn't show but I colored the center of the flower with the Certainly Celery marker then added a touch of glitter glue to it.

Stamps - Wings of Friendship

Cardstock - White, Certainly Celery, Certainly Celery DSP, Perfect Plum DSP.

Ink - Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum.

Accessories - Certainly Celery marker, Clear glitter glue, Scallop punch, sponge.
