All is Bright DSP

Found this video by Jo-Anne.  I do wish I had used a lighter weight Vellum instead of the Vellum cardstock on my card as the DSP image doesn’t show through like hers does.

I stamped the cardinal on Real Red and his beak separately on Crushed Curry cardstock using Black Tuxedo ink, cut out his beak and adhered it in place.  I like him done this way as there is no coloring to do plus there are no white lines that show around the edges.  Once I die cut and embossed the Heirloom oval, I sponged a little Soft Suede ink on top of it.

Stamps: Toile Christmas (Holiday 2019), Greatest Part of Christmas (inside Host Holiday 2019).

Cardstock: Soft Suede, Real Red, Garden Green, Crushed Curry, All is Bright DSP (Holiday 2018).

Ink: Black, Soft Suede, Real Red (inside).

Tools: Stamparatus, bone folder, purchased envelope, sponge, dimensionals, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, glue dots, gold cord, Heirloom oval embossing folder.

Punches/Dies: Cardinal dies, Heirloom die, In the Woods dies.

All is Bright DSP

All is Bright DSP LICI-H-01 of 13

I had joined a Paper Share for the Holiday 2018 catalogue.  And as usual, SU! has the most stunning papers but the catalogue does not do them justice.  A Paper Share allows you to see the detail, patterns and weight of each DSP before committing to buying a full pack.  For the designs you love, you can always order a full pack if the catalogue is still current!  I have Loved It long enough, time to Chop It and use it thanks to Kylie Bertucci!  From the All is Bright DSP Paper Share, I ended up with 2 of each design for a total of 26 cards!

Stamps: Free Skate, Greatest Part of Christmas (inside Host Holiday 2019).

Cardstock: Whisper White, Garden Green, Real Red, Gold Foil, All is Bright DSP (Holiday 2018).

Ink: Garden Green, Real Red (inside).

Winter Woods - LICI-B-22

Stamps: Winter Woods.

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Everyday Enchantment DSP (SAB 2012).

Ink: Granny Apple Green, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake.

Tools: Stamparatus, bone folder, purchased envelope, sponge, dimensionals, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, glue dots, sequins, Natural Trim ribbon, Subtle embossing folder.

Punches/Dies: Lots of Labels dies, In the Woods Framelits.

Use a full panel from your Love It Chop It pile (5-1/4” x 4”).  Sponge edges with Soft Suede ink.  Set aside.

Cut Very Vanilla at 4” x 2-1/2”.  Set it and the phrase from the Winter Woods stamp set on the Stamparatus.  Stamp with Granny Apple Green.  Die cut from the Lots of Labels dies.  Sponge with Crumb Cake ink.  Run through the Subtle EF.  Set aside.

Die cut the two pine tress from the In the Woods dies from 3-3/4” x 4” Very Vanilla.  Pop the branches outwards.  Sponge branches and both trees with Crumb Cake ink.  Add mini dimensionals to the back of the top tree, avoiding the branches.  Set aside.

Measure up from the bottom of the DSP about 2-5/8” and adhere phrase at that mark.  Cut 5” of Natural Trim and tape to the back across the bottom of the phrase.  Adhere to a Very Vanilla card.  Add tree and gold sequins.

Cut 4” of Natural Trim and tie a knot around the trim on the card.  Add a glue dot behind the knot to hold in place.  Add glue dots to hold the tails in place.

Stamp a phrase and some images to the inside of the card.  Decorate the envelope.

I have loved and now chopped the entire package of my Everyday Enchantment DSP from 2012!  I chopped it in 5-1/4” strips then cut the strips into 4” pieces.  Kept the leftover strips too.  I cut the cardboard backing from the DSP to fit in a Full Wide Stamp case. I checked my ribbons to see what I had that matched and taped a small piece to the cardboard.  Stored all the chopped DSP in a Full Wide Stamp case.

Joy to the World - LICI-B-18

Stamps: Waterfront, Tin of Tags (Holiday 2016).

Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Everyday Enchantment DSP (SAB 2012).

Ink: Poppy Parade, Old Olive, Soft Suede.

Tools: Stamparatus, bone folder, purchased envelope, sponge, dimensionals, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, regular and mini glue dots, sequins, Softly Falling embossing folder, Old Olive ribbon.

Punches/Dies: Pretty Pines Thinlits dies, 5-Petal Flower punch, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Layering Circle Dies.

Use a full panel from your Love It Chop It pile (5-1/4” x 4”).  Sponge edges with Soft Suede ink.  Flip to the wrong side and pencil mark at 1-1/8” from the bottom of the panel.  Cut Old Olive ribbon at 5-1/2” and tape to the pencil mark.  Adhere to an Old Olive card.  Set aside.

Die cut all three pine branches from Old Olive using the Pretty Pines Thinlits dies.  Cut the largest one in half.  Taper the branch to look like the rest.

Cut a Very Vanilla panel at 2-3/4” x 1-1/2”.  Sponge edges with Soft Suede ink.  Over stamp with the speckle image from the Waterfront stamp set in Old Olive ink.  Adhere to a 3” x 1-3/4” Old Olive panel.  Adhere branches to the Very Vanilla panel.  Set aside.

Punch 4 Poppy Parade flowers and 2 Old Olive flowers with the 5-Petal Flower punch.  Sponge edges with Soft Suede ink.  Run the Poppy Parade flowers through the Softly Falling EF.  Adhere two Poppy Parade flowers together, altering the petals.  Repeat for a second poinsettia. Adhere the Old Olive flowers to the bottom of each poinsettia, altering the petals.  Set aside.

Stamp a phrase in the center of a 2-3/4” scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock with Poppy Parade ink.  Die cut with the Stitched Shapes die (#2).  Sponge edges with Soft Suede ink.  Adhere to a Poppy Parade scalloped circle die (D).  Add dimensionals and set aside.

Adhere the Very Vanilla panel and phrase to the card front.

Add poinsettias.  Add 3 gold sequins to the center of each poinsettia and 3 more to the bottom of the card.

Add a phrase to the inside and decorate an envelope.

I’m still working on the Everyday Enchantment DSP that I have loved and now chopped.  I chopped it in 5-1/4” strips then cut the strips into 4” pieces.  Kept the leftover strips too.  I have stored them in a Full Wide Stamp case. Kylie Bertucci has given us permission to Love It Chop It!
