Here are the 12 sheets of 6” x 6“paper (two of each design) of this beautiful double-sided Joyous Noel Specialty DSP I had received from a Paper Share I joined when the 2018 Holiday catalogue came out.  One side is designed with copper foil accents and the other side is just as breath taking!  Now that I have chopped it, I’m continuing to make more cards!

Used a strip from my Love It Chop It DSP stash.  I over stamped the card front with images from the Christmas Pines stamp set in Tranquil Tide ink before adhering the strip to the card front. 

I embossed the word Noel by first inking the image with Versamark - don’t stamp it yet. Then, ink up your image with Tranquil Tide. Now stamp the image. Cover your image with Clear Embossing Powder and tap off the excess. Heat emboss.  Create with Kaitlyn has a great tutorial on how to heat emboss in every color. 

I added some copper thread behind the phrase.

Season of Joy Wreath - One Hour Card Class 081 - OHCC081

I found this card on Pinterest.  It grabbed my fancy.  Hope you like it too.  Lovely Lipstick would have been my choice of color to use but I don’t have any just yet!

Stamps: Christmas Pines, Colorful Seasons.

Cardstock: Rose Red, White, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray.

Ink: Rose Red.

Tools: Stamparatus, bone folder, purchased envelope, ¼” Basic Gray Shimmer Ribbon (SAB 2018), dimensionals, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, mini glue dots, silver sequins, Cable Knit embossing folder.

Punches/Dies: Cupcake Cutouts Framelits Dies, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Flourish Thinlits, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits.

Cut Smoky Slate cardstock 5” x 4”.  Lightly spritz the back of the panel with water, then blot it with a paper towel. While it was still damp, run it through the Cable Knit embossing folder. When completely dry, trim panel to 5” x 3-3/4”. 

I die cut the largest circle from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits in the center of my Rose Red panel. Die cut one medium snowflake from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits using Basic Gray cardstock scraps. From white scraps, die cut the smallest snowflake from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits and 3 berry stems from the Flourish Thinlits. 

Stamp the phrase from the Christmas Pines stamp set on a white scrap, adhere to a scrap of Basic Gray and add dimensionals.

Adhere a bow to the wreath with mini glue dots.  Add silver sequins to the card front.

Stamp a phrase from the Christmas Pines stamp set in Rose Red ink using the Stamparatus. Stamp a few snowflakes from the Colorful Seasons stamp set using Basic Gray ink.  Adhere to the inside of the card.  Decorate an envelope with the same snowflake images from the Colorful Seasons stamp set.

Glittering Snowflake Blizzard - One Hour Card Class 078 - OHCC078

A very simple card to put together with lots of glitz!

Stamps: Winter Woods, Christmas Pines.

Cardstock: Coastal Cabana, White.

Ink: Coastal Cabana, Versamark.

Tools: Coastal Cabana Thick Baker’s Twine, Die brush, Stamparatus, bone folder, purchased envelope, dimensionals, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, mini glue dots, White embossing powder, Silicone Craft Sheet, Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet, Wink of Stella.

Punches/Dies: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Blizzard Thinlits Die (Holiday 2018).

Cut Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and Coastal Cabana cardstock at 5-1/2” x 4-1/4”.  Adhere the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to the Coastal Cabana panel.

Cut a White panel at 5-1/2” x 4-1/4” and die cut with the Blizzard Thinlits Die then adhered that to the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet. I trimmed to 5-1/4” x 4” before sprinkling with Dazzling Diamonds. 

I used the Stamparatus and Versamark ink to stamp the sentiment on Coastal Cabana cardstock and then embossed using white embossing powder. Die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and added dimensionals.  I also added tiny pearls to the 3 snowflakes.

I happen to have some Coastal Cabana Thick Baker’s Twine left over from when it was an In Color a few years ago so I used that to make a bow!

Stamp a phrase from the Christmas Pines stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink using the Stamparatus for the inside of the card.  Color the word ‘sparkle’ with Wink of Stella.  Used the snowflakes from the same stamp set on the envelope.

Love all the glitz!

Two Tier Eclipse Technique - One Hour Card Class 070 - OHCC070

Stamps: Christmas Pines.

Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Real Red, White.

Ink: Real Red, Sahara Sand, Old Olive.

Tools: bone folder, purchased envelope, mini dimensionals, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, glue dots, Silicone Craft Sheet, Real Red baker’s twine.

Punches/Dies: Large Letters Framelits.

Such a simple card but very striking!  I followed the video by Suestampfield and created the same Christmas card that she did.

Tape the letters JOY together - lay them so they are touching each other.  Use a ruler to keep the top straight.

Tape the letters JOY on to the center of panel and run through the big shot. 

Remove and save the letters including the center of the letter O.

Stick a post-it note to the back of the white, die cut panel.

Place all the letters back in the negative space of the panel.

Cover Blessings from the Christmas Pines stamp set with scotch tape.

Ink Christmas in Real Red ink.

Remove tape and stamp at the top left corner of the panel.

Stamp 2 branches from the Christmas Pines stamp set with Old Olive ink.

Ink the solid pine cone in Sahara Sand, stamp off and then stamp on to panel. Over stamp with the patterned pine cone.  Repeat for a second pine cone.

Remove the letters and post-it note.  Adhere the white panel on to card front.

Adhere the center of the letter O to the card front – just be sure it matches the branch. 

Die cut 2 more of each letter in red cardstock.  Stack and adhere the letters together using Tombow glue sparingly – this glue allows time to line up the letters.  We don’t need the center of the red letter O.

Add mini dimensionals or Foam Adhesive Strips to the back of the letters.  Add to the card front – just be sure the letter O matches the branch.

Cut 7” of baker’s twine and tie into a bow.  Repeat for a second bow.  Adhere to the branches with a glue dot.

Stamp the pine cone and branch images to the front of an envelope.

Blue Christmas Card - One Hour Card Class 033 OHCC033

Another find on Pinterest so I had to give it a try!

Pool Party card.  Over stamp the top of the card with the pine branch from the Christmas Pines stamp set using Pool Party ink. Flick the gold Wink of Stella on the card – I just hit the marker against the side of my hand, then touched the marker to my card in a few places.  Set aside.

Cut Very Vanilla cardstock 2-1/4” x 3-3/4”.  Pounce lightly with Pool Party ink using a shaving brush or sponge. 

Set one large, one small and the tip of the medium pine leaf dies from the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies on top.  I have such troubles removing the dies from my medium leaf so I cut a large one then trimmed it to the length of the medium one.  Cut a gold Foil Sheet 2-1/4” square and lay the mistletoe die from the same die set on top.

Cut Very Vanilla cardstock 1-1/4” x 3-1/2”.  Stamp a phrase from the Time of Year Stamp Set using Versamark ink.  Gold emboss over a coffee filter – this makes clean up of the embossing powder easy!  Lay the banner from Bunch of Banners Framelits on top. 

Move to the Big Shot and die cut all the above at the same time.  Sandwich is: Magnetic platform – cutting pad - cardstock – wax paper - die with cutting blade down – cutting pad.

Working on the Silicone Craft Sheet, add some Tombow glue to the back of the phrase and adhere the leaves.  Tuck in the mistletoe. 

 Add Dimensionals to both ends of the banner. 

By partially folding the banner, the center is between the letter ‘s’ and ‘t’.  Lay banner on the card with edge towards the right.  Pencil mark the center for lace placement.  Set aside. 

Cut Venetian Crochet Trim 9” – this is what I had but the Very Vanilla ½” Lace Trim, page 179 would work too.  Fold lace in half.  Tape both ends to your work surface.  Wrap a piece of thread around lace about 1” from the fold.  Tie into a tight knot.  Do not cut the thread tails off yet. 

Cut Gold Cord 12”.  Tie into a knot around the thread then into a bow, leaving your thread tails at the bottom of the bow. 

Use the threads to add a charm – my Pinterest lady used two Mini Pinecones (page 20 Holiday 2016/17 catalogue) but I didn’t have them.  Trim thread. 

Use a glue dot to adhere to the card front about ½” from the top.  Use the pencil mark for positioning.  You can partially straighten the tails of your bow by using the bone folder but hang securely on to the knot of the bow while doing this – it may not straighten them completely but it helps. 

Add banner under the charm.  Press ends of banner upwards with your fingers. Spread the lace apart, trim if necessary and tack ends down with Tombow glue.  You may want to glue dot your charm too.  Add gold sequins/stars from the Metallics Sequin Assortment with the Tombow glue – I used what I had on hand.  Use the Paper Piercing Tool as your third hand! 

Once I am done fiddling with everything, I add a little puddle of Tombow glue to the knot of my bow hoping that helps it from coming undone. 

Remember the writing tablet?  Perfect for the inside of cards.  Fold a piece in half. Stamp a phrase and the pine branch from the Christmas Pines stamp set using Pool Party ink.  Adhere to inside of the card.

Using Tissue Paper and Freezer Paper to make an Envelope

Turn iron on a medium-high setting. 

Cut the freezer paper 8” square.  Cut the piece of tissue paper 10” square.

Crumple the tissue paper, open and crumple again to add texture.

Carefully smooth out the tissue paper but don’t remove all the wrinkles.

Lay papers on your ironing board with the freezer paper on the bottom (wax side up) and the tissue paper on top (pretty side up).

Put your iron in one place for a few seconds, lift it up, don’t slide it, and put it down again somewhere else so as not to smooth out the wrinkles.  Overlap your pressings.

Turn paper over and press again.

Cut excess tissue paper off flush with the freezer paper. 

Turn your paper over (tissue paper side down) and iron it again.  Turn it over again (tissue side up) and iron again. 

Complete using the Envelope Punch Board.  

Flick the front with the gold Wink of Stella.

The above picture shows the cards we will make using one sheet of 6” x 6” DSP (designer series paper).  The first thing we need to do is cut our 6” x 6” DSP following Rebecca’s One Sheet Wonder pattern(101projectswithrebecca.com). We will get 5 cards from just this one piece of DSP (Cards A to E).  
I am using Merry Moments from the Holiday 2015 catalogue but any DSP will work, this is just what I had at the 
time I was working on these cards.  Make the long cuts first then the crosswise cuts.  

Be sure to mark each piece with the corresponding letter using a post it note or write directly on each piece lightly with a pencil. 

One Sheet Wonder Card A - Joy: 

Let us start making Card A.

Prepare card by cutting Old Olive cardstock at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”.  Fold in half for a side fold card – a bone folder gives you a crisp fold.  Stamp and sign the back or apply an address label.  Set aside.

Remember the writing tablet?  Perfect for the inside of cards.  Fold a piece in half.

Stamp a phrase and over stamp with an image.  

Adhere tablet paper to inside of the card.

Cut a Mossy Meadow panel at 5-14” x 4”.  Run through the Framed Tulips embossing folder.  Adhere to card front.

The DSP panel for Card A measures 2” x 3”.  The Cherry Cobbler layer is cut ¼” bigger, the Old Olive is cut ½” bigger and the white layer is cut ¾” bigger than the DSP piece.  This is just a guideline – you can cut each layer a bit smaller if you want.  Set aside. 

Punch the scallop circle from the center of the Cherry Cobbler layer.  Set aside.

Use the Mossy Meadow marker to color the word ‘Joy’.  

Huff on it then stamp in the center of the white panel.  Punch out with the circle punch.  Use the markers to ink the holly and berries stamp.  Huff on it before stamping under ‘Joy’.  Adhere to the scallop circle. 

Cut gold cord at 20”.  Wrap around two fingers twice or so. 

Then wrap around 3 fingers a couple of times or so.  

Pinch together and tape or glue dot to the back of the circle. 

Trim off any tails.  Apply mounts towards the bottom - I used a mat board.  Set aside.

Mount layers together.

Adhere towards the top left side of the card.

Die cut 2 small pine branches from Mossy Meadow cardstock and one medium branch from Old Olive cardstock.  Sandwich is: Magnetic platform – cutting pad - cardstock – wax paper - die with cutting blade down – cutting pad. 

Adhere the branches to the card front in a pleasing manner.  

Cover the ends of the branches with the circle. 

Add three pearls.  Here's a little trick to space your pearls or rhinestones evenly - use your mat pack if you are lucky enough to have one as it retired 4 or 5 years ago.  The pearls and rhinestones fit perfectly inside the largest holes, helping you line them perfectly straight on your card. 

Make an envelope using the envelope punch board.  Decorate with stamp images.
