DIY Embossing Paste - One Hour Card Class 055 - OHCC055

Stamps: Flourishing Phrases.

Cardstock: Perfect Plum, Vellum, Watercolor paper, Wild Wasabi.

Ink: Perfect Plum re-inker, Wild Wasabi.

Tools: bone folder, purchased envelope, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, glue dots, rhinestones, Pattern Party Decorative Mask, baby powder, white paint and glue to make Embossing Paste, palette knife, Swiss Dots embossing folder, Butterflies Thinlits dies, Silicone Craft Sheet, Flourish Thinlits dies.

Die cut the images.  Adhere the butterflies.

There are a lot of recipes online for Embossing Paste.  This is the one I tried and have had great results with it.  It also lasts a long time in a sealed container.
1/4 cup talc or baby powder, 1 tablespoon white acrylic paint, 1 tablespoon Aleen’s original Tacky Glue.  Add a little water as needed to make a spreadable paste.

Pick up a bit of Embossing Paste with the bottom side of your palette knife and drop it on your Silicone Craft Sheet.  Add about 4 drops of Perfect Plum re-inker and stir.

Spread it like butter over the decorative mask.  Remove the mask immediately and set in soapy water to clean up later.

Set panel aside about 15 minutes to dry.

Stamp a phrase for the inside of the card.

Decorate a purchased envelope with a stamped image.

Succulent Mother’s Day Card - One Hour Card Class 060 - OHCC060

Stamps: Oh So Succulent, Gorgeous Grunge, Something to Say.

Cardstock: Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss, White.

Ink: Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss.

Tools: Woodgrain EF, Succulent Framelits Dies, Stitched Shapes oval, Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, sponges, 4” doily, Tombow adhesive, pearls.

Wow Nola’s has an excellent video on coloring these.

Stamp the splatter from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Crumb Cake ink across the bottom of card front.  Run Crumb Cake cardstock through the Woodgrain embossing folder.  Rip one long edge.  Cut a 4” doily in half.  Pounce your sponge across the top with Crumb Cake ink.   Adhere to card front.

Stamp and die cut the images on white cardstock with Blackberry Bliss ink.

Die cut the six flowers from the Succulent Framelits Dies in Old Olive cardstock.

Stamp the splatter from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set in Crumb Cake ink on all the flowers.  Ink your sponge with Crumb Cake ink.  Drag your sponge from the center to the end of each petal, creating streaks.  Repeat for all flowers.

Lightly sponge all the petal tips with Blackberry Bliss.

With the bottom end of the piercing tool, press the centers of the large flower pieces in a circular motion until the petals pop up. Glue these three flowers together using Tombow adhesive.  Apply pressure in the center with the bottom end of the piercing tool.

For the 3 little flowers, simply press each center with the bottom end of the piercing tool as they are pretty delicate to with stand the circular motion.  Glue these three flowers together using Tombow adhesive.  Apply pressure in the center with the bottom end of the piercing tool.

Glue the two groups of flowers together, applying pressure in the center with the bottom end of the piercing tool.

Lay the flower on the card front.  Adhere the phrase, leaves and roses in a pleasing manner.  Add pearls.

Decorate a white panel for the inside of the card.

Decorate an envelope with stamped images.
