MDS-D 009 Birthday Card, Heather’s Class2

Was waiting for hubby to get home from work last night so I went snooping on the net and found another cute card layout by Heidi (April 18, 2012) that I had to try using Heather’s way in MDS!
Paper: Rose Red, Very Vanilla, Twitterpated 9, First Edition 1.

Stamps: Torn Edges, Vintage Overlay – Baja Breeze opacity 80, Easter Blossoms, Watercolor Trio.

Embellishments: Grosgrain Ribbon and Knot in Baja Breeze and Soft Suede.

Punches: Square, Circle – Rose Red opacity 40.

MDS-D 008 Valentines card, Heather’s Class2

Happy Tuesday to you!  Do you know what that means?  Digital Download day!  Whooo hooo!  Head on over to My Digital Studio.net to see what's new today! In today’s class, Heather showed us how she makes cards in MDS.  This is a lot easier than the way I have done them.   Heather built the layer, saved it as a jpeg and then brought it back in as a photo box. Makes it so easy to overlap on the edges!  Great hint, thanks Heather!
Paper: Cherry Cobbler Textured, White, First Edition 1.

Stamps: Calendar Kit, Vintage Overlay 1, Epic Overlay.

Embellishments: Christmas Jingle elements, Bakers Twine, Silver Eyelet.

Punches: Full Heart, Medium Heart.

This is a copy of Dawn's card.  If you want in on Heather’s tricks & tips, you still have time to sign up to her MDS MadeSimple 2 class.  Because the daily posts don't happen anymore, the site remains open with the content, videos, photos, and discussions etc available until the end of October.  She has given her students permission to post our pages that we did in her class to our Blogs.  I intend to post a page every Tuesday and keep my regular Scrap pages coming on Fridays.

MDS-D 007 Summer Smooch card

I didn’t get a scrap page done for this week so thought I would share a card I seen on Heathers blog back in April.  Thought I’d give it a try digitally.  I am pleased with how it turned out.
Don’t forget to check out the MDS Blog Hop since it is Friday!  This time we will start with the talented Holly.
Here is my recipe for my card.

Paper: Summer Smooch.

Stamps: Vintage Overlays, Get it Done.

Embellishments: Basic Pearls and Rhinestones, Grosgrain Ribbon and Bow in Island Indigo.
