Milestone Birthday – 11 years old – B11f
Thought this card by absolutekreations was kinda cute so I copied it! I cut each leg for the cow at 3/8 inch by 1 inch. I cut two strips at 41/4 inches and two at 3 inches each at ½ inch wide for the window frame. The roof of the barn is also ½ inch strips. I drew the eyes, nose and mouth with a black marker.
Here is the poem I used for this 11 year old card.
It’s your 111th Birthday! Milk it for all it’s worth!
Stamp Sets: Woodgrain.
Paper: Real Red, Pretty In Pink, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake cut at 21/2 inches by 33/4 inches.
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Basic Black.
Punches: Curly Label for head in white, Trio Flowers for spots & hair on head in black, 5-Petal Flower for ears in black, ½ inch Circle for hooves x 2 in black, Wide Oval for body, Large Oval for mouth.
Accessories: Gold Brads, black marker to draw his mouth, Distressed Stripes EF, Square lattice EF.

One Sheet Wonder Cards – Card E - One Hour Card Class 032 OHCC032
If you have never made a card before, you will love these
One Hour Card Class workshops! Because we are making 5 cards in this
class, it may take longer than one hour.
However, we will complete all the cards, inside and out, with a matching
envelope – ready for the mail! I host
card classes every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You pick the day and the time that suits

Guess I haven’t explained what a One Sheet Wonder
is. A One Sheet Wonder is where
you take one sheet of pretty paper, cut it up, and make it into a bunch of
wonderful cards! The piece of paper that you start with can be a pre-printed
patterned paper or a paper that you stamp a design on yourself. The paper is
then cut up according to a template and made into a variety of cards. Start
simple then upgrade your cards to WOW with extra embellishments. There are lots
of templates of different sizes on the web to help make cutting into your
favorite paper easier!

Prepare card by cutting Cherry Cobbler cardstock at
5-1/2” x 8-1/2”. Fold in half for a side
fold card – a bone folder gives you a crisp fold. Stamp and sign the back. Set aside.
Remember the writing tablet? Perfect for the inside of cards. Fold a piece in half.
Stamp a phrase and over stamp with an image if desired. Adhere to inside of the card.
DSP panel measures 2” x 2-3/4”. The Old Olive layer is cut ¼” bigger and the Cherry
Cobbler is cut ½” bigger than the DSP piece.
This is just a guideline – you can cut each layer a bit smaller if you
want. Set aside.
Cut a Crumb Cake panel at 5-1/4” x 4”. Run through the Cable Knit embossing
folder. NOTE: You will notice in the
pictures that I stamped the phrase on the Crumb Cake panel before I ran it
through the Big Shot. I found it hard to
read because of the humps and bumps on the Cable Knit embossing folder so I
changed it in the end to be a label. It is suggested that the card stock be
lightly spritzed with water on both sides before putting it in the folder to
relax the paper fibers so that they will stretch and not break while being
embossed. Because the folder is so thick
the Sandwich is a bit different: Regular platform – cardstock in embossing folder
– cutting pad. Adhere to card front.
Cut two strips of Crumb Cake cardstock each 1-1/4” x
3-1/2”; one Old Olive at 1-1/4” x 6” and one Cherry Cobbler at 1-1/4” x
2-1/4”. Set the pieces to be cut on the
Big Shot – two pine cone backs, small bow, two pine cone fronts, and two medium
branches. Cover with wax paper. Place dies on top. Sandwich is: Magnetic platform – cutting pad
- cardstock – wax paper - die with cutting blade down – cutting pad.
Set the pine cone backs aside. Cover the small bow, two pine cone fronts,
and two medium branches with Versamark, leaving a bit of one end un-inked. By doing it this way, you have something to
hold on to while heat embossing. Heat
emboss with Iridescent Ice embossing powder – quit embossing the minute it is
melted to avoid burning. Repeat to finish embossing.
Adhere the backs of the cones to the fronts using the
fine tip glue pen. Set aside.
Cut Old Olive cardstock 4” x 1-1/2”. Stamp the ‘Sparkle’ phrase in the
middle.
Use my template to trace out the label pattern.
Apply mounts.
Color the word ‘Sparkle’ with the Wink of Stella. Set aside.
Ink half of the DSP panel with Versamark. Heat emboss with Iridescent Ice embossing
powder – quit embossing the minute it is melted to avoid burning. Repeat for the other half. Adhere to the Olive panel then to the Cobbler
panel. Adhere to card front allowing
room for the cones and bow. Add the
phrase below the panel.
Adhere branches to card front.
Apply glue to the bottom part of half the bow and adhere
to the top of the pine cones.
Thread a charm with 6” of silver cord. Tie a knot close to the charm. Slip one piece of the cord under the bow and
tie a knot. Thread the ends back through
the charm hole. Trim cord of
necessary. Glue the other half of the
bow.
Make an envelope using the envelope punch board. Decorate with stamp images.
Stamps: Christmas
Pines (Holiday 2016), signature stamp or an address label.
Ink: Cherry
Cobbler, Old Olive, Versamark.
Cardstock: paper
for envelopes, Merry Meadow DSP (2015 Holiday), Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake.
Accessories: Snail
Adhesive, Tombow Glue, glue dots, envelope punch board, Stampin’ Trimmer,
scissors, bone folder, pencil, Dimensionals, silicone craft sheet, clear Wink
of Stella, Pearl Basic Jewels, Cable Knit embossing folder, Pretty Pines
Thinlits dies, silver thread, silver cord, Christmas charm, wax paper for die
cutting cut into 1” strips, paper piercer, 5” x 8” writing tablet paper for

One Sheet Wonder Card D – Season of Joy:
Prepare
card by cutting Very Vanilla cardstock at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”. Fold in half for a side fold card – a bone
folder gives you a crisp fold. Stamp and
sign the back. Set aside.
Remember
the writing tablet? Perfect for the
inside of cards. Fold a piece in
half.
Stamp
a phrase and over stamp with an image if desired. Adhere to inside of the card. Set aside.
The
DSP piece is 4” wide by 3” long. Cut Old
Olive cardstock at 4” by 2-1/4” and run through the Woodgrain embossing folder
- it is suggested that the card stock be lightly spritzed with water on both
sides before putting it in the folder to relax the paper fibers so that they
stretch and not break while being embossed.
Tape to the DSP panel to the Old Olive panel to make a length of 4” x
5-1/4” from the two pieces. Set aside.
Cut
a strip of white cardstock 4-1/2” long by 3/8” wide. Ink the strip with Versamark, leaving about
½” at one end un-inked. By doing it this
way, you have something to hold on to while heat embossing. Heat emboss with Copper embossing
powder. Adhere to cover the join of the
DSP/Olive panel. Trim. Adhere panel to the card front. Set aside.
Cut
Very Vanilla cardstock 1-1/4” X 3-1/4”; cut Old Olive cardstock 1-1/4” x 7”;
Cherry Cobbler cardstock at 1-1/2” square and White cardstock at 1-1/4” x 2-1/4”. Die cut two small and one medium pine
branches from Old Olive, one berries from Cherry Cobbler, two pine cone fronts
from Very Vanilla cardstock and a large bow from white cardstock. Sandwich is: Magnetic platform – cutting pad
- cardstock – wax paper - die with cutting blade down – cutting pad.
Use
the white gel pen to color the berries. I
could not get my gel pen to write so I found my old Versamark marker and of
course, it was dry!
So,
I rubbed the berries with the embossing buddy then I dipped my marker in Versamark
refill and applied the ink that way – I just squirted a bit on my ink pad.
Heat emboss with white embossing powder. You may need to repeat if you don’t get a
good coverage. Set aside.
Lightly
pencil mark about 1” from the top of the DSP.
Adhere
branches at that mark. Cut copper cord
at 20”. Wrap around two fingers twice
then around 3 fingers a couple of times.
Pinch together and tape or glue dot at the top of the branches. Trim off any tails if necessary.
Add berries and pine cones. Set aside.
Ink
half of the bow with Versamark. Heat
emboss with Copper embossing powder - quit embossing the minute it is melted to
avoid burning. Repeat for the other
half. I did this twice to get a thick
covering of EP.
Adhere
bow to the card front above the branches in a pleasing manner. Add a pearl to the center of the bow. Set aside.
Cut
Crumb Cake cardstock 2” by 4”. Rub the
front with the embossing buddy. Heat
emboss the phrase in the center with Copper embossing powder. Stamp the frame in Cherry Cobbler ink. Cut out the frame.
Apply
mounts to the phrase. Adhere in a
pleasing manner to the card front.
Make
an envelope using the envelope punch board.
Decorate with stamp images.

One Sheet Wonder Cards – Card C - One Hour Card Class 032 OHCC032

One Sheet Wonder Card C – Noel:
Prepare card by cutting Old Olive card stock at 5-1/2” x
8-1/2”. Fold in half for a top fold card
– a bone folder gives you a crisp fold. Ink
the snowflake stamp with Versamark.
Stamp the top and bottom of the card.
Stamp and sign the back. Set
aside.
Remember the writing tablet? Perfect for the inside of cards. Fold a piece in half.
Stamp a phrase and over stamp with an image. Adhere to inside of the card.
Cut gold cardstock 1-1/2” wide x 5-3/4” long. Punch each long edge with the scallop edge
punch. Punch three 1/8” circles from the
center and set aside.
Cut cardstock in half.
Cut Cherry Cobbler panel cut at 5-3/4” x 3”. Punch three flowers from the center of it and
set flowers aside. Glue the scallop
edges to the panel. Adhere to card
front. Trim to fit card. Set aside.
Curl the petals of the three flowers. Add the 1/8” gold cardstock circles to the
centers. Set aside.
DSP panel measures 2” x 3-1/4”. The Cherry Cobbler layer is cut ¼” bigger,
the Old Olive is cut ½” bigger and the white layer is cut ¾” bigger than the
DSP piece. This is just a guideline –
you can cut each layer a bit smaller if you want. Set aside.
Cut vellum 3” wide X 6” long. Rub with an Embossing Buddy to reduce
static. Stamp Noel with Versamark. Heat emboss in gold embossing powder - quit
embossing the minute it is melted to avoid burning. Use my template to cut the right width.
Score at ¼” from the letter ‘N’ and fold to the back.
Sandwich the DSP panel with the vellum. Lay the layers on the card front without
gluing to determine where to cut the flag.
Lightly pencil mark it.
To extend the length of the Banners Framelits: Cut the vellum the width of the inside of the
banner die. Place one short end under
the cutting blades, matching your pencil mark and the other end on top of the
die. Your paper will crease if you run
it through the Big Shot with the full framelit on the platform. To avoid this, place what you want to cut in
the sandwich and hang the other end of the framelit off the end of the
platform. Sandwich = Magnetic platform –
cutting pad – cardstock – die with cutting blade down – cutting pad. Set aside.
Adhere the white and Olive panels together. Sandwich the vellum fold to the DSP panel and
adhere at the back only. Adhere DSP/vellum
panel to the Cherry Cobbler panel then to the white/Olive panel. Add a touch under the vellum to hold it
down. Set aside.
Die cut two small pine branches from Old Olive and one
berries from white. Sandwich is: Magnetic
platform – cutting pad - cardstock – wax paper - die with cutting blade down –
cutting pad. Color the berries Cherry
Cobbler. Glue the branches and berries
to the bottom of the flag. Set aside.
Wrap 10” of gold cord around the entire panel and tie a
knot in the center of the panel.
Adhere panel to the card front.
Add the flowers to cover the knot. Cut 10” of cord and make a bow with my bow baker that hubby made me..
Add bow to the card with a glue dot. Trim cord ends if necessary.
Make an envelope using the envelope punch board. Decorate with stamp images.
Stamps: Christmas
Pines (Holiday 2016), signature stamp or an address label.
Ink: Cherry
Cobbler, Cherry Cobbler marker, Mossy Meadow, Versamark.
Cardstock: paper
for envelope, Merry Meadow DSP (2015 Holiday), Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, White,
Gold, Vellum.
