All is Bright DSP

All is Bright DSP LICI-H-01 of 13

I had joined a Paper Share for the Holiday 2018 catalogue.  And as usual, SU! has the most stunning papers but the catalogue does not do them justice.  A Paper Share allows you to see the detail, patterns and weight of each DSP before committing to buying a full pack.  For the designs you love, you can always order a full pack if the catalogue is still current!  I have Loved It long enough, time to Chop It and use it thanks to Kylie Bertucci!  From the All is Bright DSP Paper Share, I ended up with 2 of each design for a total of 26 cards!

Season’s Greetings - LICI-D-12

Stamps: Snowflake Sentiments (2018/19).

Cardstock: White, Tranquil Tide, Shimmery White, Myth’s and Magic Glimmer Paper, Joyous Noel Specialty DSP (Holiday 2018).

Ink: Versamark, Tranquil Tide (inside).

Tools: Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, glue dots, sequins, Copper embossing powder.

Punches/Dies: In the Woods Framelits Dies, Hometown Greetings Edgelits dies.

I cut a white panel at 5-1/4” x 4” just to help guide my layering.

Used a full panel from my Love It Chop It pile (5-1/4” x 4”).  Cut it in half.  Adhere to the top of the white panel.

Die cut the buildings from Shimmery White.  Die cut both end trees from Tranquil Tide cardstock and adhere over the white ones.

The snowy piece was cut from Myth’s and Magic Glimmer Paper. I used the In the Woods Framelits to get the hill shape. Attached this behind the buildings.

Copper emboss the phrase.  Adhere to the bottom of the white panel then to the card front.

Stamp a phrase for the inside of the card.

I had joined a Paper Share when the 2018 Holiday catalogue came out.  Paper Shares are a great way of seeing all the paper in the catalogue plus you don’t have a huge amount of paper to touch and feel and smell and store etc for years!!  Figured I had loved it long enough, so it was time to chop it!  I had 12 sheets of 6” x 6“paper, two of each design of this beautiful double-sided Joyous Noel Specialty DSP.  One side is designed with copper foil accents, it is just stunning! The other side is absolutely stunning too but there is just something about that copper!   I ended up with 24 cards, two of each card.  So here is my last of 12, Love It Chop It cards, using this DSP.

Winter Woods - LICI-D-11

I first cut my 12 sheets of 6” x 6” Joyous Noel Specialty DSP Paper Share into 4” widths which left me with 12, 2” wide strips.  I left them as is and will cut them down as needed.  I cut the 4” wide pieces down to 5-1/4” high.  That left me with a small strip that just happens to fit across my insert.

Stamps: Winter Woods (Holiday 2018).

Cardstock: White, Myth’s and Magic Glimmer Paper, Joyous Noel Specialty DSP (Holiday 2018).

Ink: Versamark.

Tools: dimensionals, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, glue dots, sequins, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Copper embossing powder (inside).

Punches/Dies: In the Woods Framelits Dies.

The snowy piece was cut from Myth’s and Magic Glimmer Paper. I used the In The Woods Framelits to get the hill shape. Attached this to a full panel from my Love It Chop It pile (5-1/4” x 4”), leaving a small border of DSP showing at the bottom - don’t add glue to the curved edge.  Leave it open to add the trunks from the other two trees.  Adhere to card front.  Trim if necessary.

I die cut both evergreen trees, pushed up the scallop edges of the smaller evergreen, added a narrow bead of Tombow glue to the edges and then sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds.  Added dimensionals to both trees.  Added sequins from my stash.

I added dots of glue to the other two trees and sprinkled them with Dazzling Diamonds too.

Adhere one of the strip wastes that we cut from our Love It Chop It stash to the inside of the card.

Merry and Bright - LICI-D-10

Stamps: Cookie Cutter Christmas (2018/19), Stitched with Cheer (Holiday 2018).

Cardstock: Merry Merlot, Sahara Sand, Tranquil Tide, vellum, Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper, Joyous Noel Specialty DSP (Holiday 2018).

Ink: Versamark, Merry Merlot.

Tools: dimensionals, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, glue dots, sequins, Festive Farmhouse Cotton twine, Brick Wall embossing folder, Wink of Stella, Copper embossing powder.

Punches/Dies: Candy Cane Builder punch, Ribbon Strip die, Bunch of Banners Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Layering Circles Framelits, Sprig punch.

I ran a couple inches of my card front through the Brick Wall embossing folder. Used a strip from my Love It Chop It DSP stash.  Added some die cut edges to it before adhering to card front.

Copper embossed the reindeer on Sahara Sand cardstock, cut the antlers off and replaced them with glimmer paper antlers using the Sprig punch.  Re-stamped his nose in Merry Merlot ink on a scrap of Sahara Sand cs, cut it out, added a dimensional before giving it back to him!  Colored it with Wink of Stella.

Adhere one of the strip wastes that we cut from our Love It Chop It stash to the inside of the card.

I’m still working on the Joyous Noel Specialty DSP that I have loved and now chopped.  Kept the leftover strips as not to waste any of it!  This was a Paper Share so I only had 12 sheets of 6” x 6“paper (two of each design) of this beautiful double-sided DSP to deal with!  So off to Pinterest I go!  Thanks, Kylie Bertucci, for giving us permission to Love It Chop It!

Be Jolly -LICI-D-09

Here are the 12 sheets of 6” x 6“paper (two of each design) of this beautiful double-sided Joyous Noel Specialty DSP I had received from a Paper Share I joined when the 2018 Holiday catalogue came out.  One side is designed with copper foil accents and the other side is just as breath taking!  This is the only card I made not using the copper side!

Stamps: Candy Cane Season (Holiday 2018).

Cardstock: White, Merry Merlot, Tranquil Tide, Gold Foil, Joyous Noel Specialty DSP (Holiday 2018).

Ink: Merry Merlot, Tranquil Tide.

Tools: dimensionals, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, glue dots, white/gold baker’s twine, Wink of Stella.

Punches/Dies: Rectangle Stitched Framelits dies, Banners Framelits dies, Banner Triple punch, Blizzard Thinlits Die, Candy Cane Builder punch.

Stamped my card front with the little snowflakes image in Merry Merlot ink.

Used two strips from my Love It Chop It DSP stash.  Flag one of them with the Banner Triple punch.  Adhere together.  Added a band of baker’s twine then adhered both strips to the card front.

Stamped the words with Tranquil Tide ink and die cut using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits dies.  Added dimensionals.  Added dimensionals to the candy cane too.

Made a bow using baker’s twine.

I used the Blizzard Thinlits Die to cut the snowflakes from gold foil.

I added Wink of Stella to my bow before adhering the tiny snowflake.

Adhere one of the strip wastes that we cut from our Love It Chop It stash to the inside of the card.

From Our Family - LICI-D-08

Stamps: Snowflake Sentiments (2018/19).

Cardstock: White, Sahara Sand, Joyous Noel Specialty DSP (Holiday 2018).

Ink: Merry Merlot, Sahara Sand (inside).

Tools: Tombow adhesive, Subtle embossing folder, snail adhesive, glue dots, sequins, Merry Merlot and Copper 5/8” Reversible Ribbon, Copper Trim.

Punches/Dies: Blizzard Thinlits Die.

Cut Sahara Sand at 5-1/4” x 4”. Stamp the phrase at the top.  Run through the Subtle EF.  Cut a full panel from my Love It Chop It pile (5-1/4” x 4”) in half.  Adhere it to the bottom of the Sahara Sand panel.

Cover the join with a ribbon.  Adhere to card front.

I used the Blizzard Thinlits Die to cut the snowflakes from white cardstock.  Tied a knot in the Copper Trim and added it to the large snowflake.  Added a copper sequins from my stash to the smaller snowflake.

Adhere one of the strip wastes that we have in our Love It Chop It stash to the inside of the card.

Dashing Deer - LICI-D-07

So here is my 7th of 12, Love It Chop It cards, using this DSP.

Stamps: Dashing Deer (inside, Holiday 2018).

Cardstock: White, Tranquil Tide, Myth’s and Magic Glimmer Paper, Joyous Noel Specialty DSP (Holiday 2018).

Ink: Versamark, Tranquil Tide.

Tools: Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, glue dots, sequins, Copper embossing powder.

Punches/Dies: Blizzard Thinlits Die, Detailed Deer Thinlits dies.

Used a full panel from my Love It Chop It pile (5-1/4” x 4”).  I cut it down to 3-3/4” x 5” and adhered to a 5-1/4” x 4” white panel. Cut 2 pieces of Myth’s and Magic Glimmer Paper 1” x 4-1/4”. Tear one long edge of each.  Add dimensionals to the top piece and add to the bottom of the DSP to look like snow. Trim edges then add to the card front.

I don’t have the Copper Foil so I pounced my Versamark ink pad on to a fair size piece of cardstock, poured Copper embossing powder over it and heat embossed.  Then die cut the deer.  I also cut both deer in Whisper White card stock, layered the copper deer on top of the Whisper White deer offsetting them so that there is a “white shadow” showing as Mary Knabe did for the inspiration of my card.

I used the Blizzard Thinlits Die to cut the snowflakes from Myth’s and Magic Glimmer Paper.  Added some sequins from my stash.

Stamped an image and phrase for the inside of the card.  Since I saved that small strip that I cut off my DSP panel, I adhered it to the bottom.

Christmas Greetings - LICI-D-06

Stamps: Alpine Adventure (Holiday 2018), Woodgrain.

Cardstock: White, Sahara Sand, Tranquil Tide, Myth’s and Magic Glimmer Paper, Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper, Joyous Noel Specialty DSP (Holiday 2018).

Ink: Merry Merlot, Sahara Sand (inside).

Tools: dimensionals, Tombow adhesive, snail adhesive, glue dots, sequins, Festive Farmhouse Cotton twine, Softly Falling embossing folder, White Thread.

Punches/Dies: Layering Ovals Framelits, Sprig punch, Alpine Sports Thinlits dies.

Used a strip from my Love It Chop It DSP stash.  Adhered it to card front.  Before die cutting the sleigh, I stamped a scrap of Sahara Sand cardstock with the Woodgrain stamp in Sahara Sand ink. Added dimensionals to it.

Added some white thread. The rest is straight forward.

Stamped an image to go with the phrase for the inside of the card.

I’m still working on the Joyous Noel Specialty DSP that I have loved and now chopped.  Kept the leftover strips as not to waste any of it!  This was a Paper Share, so I only had 12 sheets of 6” x 6“paper (two of each design) of this beautiful double-sided DSP to deal with!  So off to Pinterest I go!  Thanks, Kylie Bertucci, for giving us permission to Love It Chop It!
