Happy Download Tuesday!  Check them out on My DigitalStudio.net!

Heather’s class page inspired me to use a bunch of pictures that my daughter didn't care if I scrapped or not!  Worked out perfect!

Heather has given her students permission to post our pages that we made in her 1st class to our Blogs.  I intend to post a class page every Tuesday and keep my regular Scrap pages coming on Fridays as I have been doing.  You still have time to sign up to Heather’s MDS Made Simple 2 class.  You really just don’t want to miss it!

MDS 063 Mr and Mrs Scrapbook Page

Page before adding Photo boxes.
My Digital Studio Software by Stampin' Up!.
Came across this simple but striking page by Stamping with Erica on her September 13, 2011 Blog.  Really liked how this turned out!  I don’t have the half circle punch as Erica used – I used the full circle and covered the top parts with my Text box.

Paper: Sunny Day (Turquoise small polka dots) – background.  Like Erica, I wanted to soften the color somewhat so I dragged my square punch on to my page, resized it to cover everything inside my Bleed area - color fill – White – change Opacity to 40.  Now it looks like a piece of vellum.

Stamp Brush Sets: Together Forever – Mr and Mrs (Pear Pizzaz) and the symbol (Rose Red), Simple Friendship – vine (White),

Embellishments: Buttons Pack In Color – Pear Pizzaz 3, Bakers Twine (White knot), Stitched Poly Ribbon (Pear Pizzaz ribbon and bow),

Punches: Square (white), Circle – drag 6 circles onto your page.  Paper fill as follows: Strength and Hope 4, Springtime Vintage 6, Sunny Day 3, Springtime Vintage 2, Sunny Day 5, Springtime Vintage 8.

I do not claim to be any type of photographer.  I have a plain and simple camera and I love to take pictures!  If you have just stumbled on my Blog, type ‘MDS Scrap Page’ in the Search Box (top left corner) to see what we have been doing.  I am using Windows 7 so you may need to click on HELP (across the top of the program), My Digital Studio Help if you are using a different Windows than me.   Watch for NEW Scrap Pages posted every Friday.

Once again, it is TUESDAY!!  You know what that means!!  DOWNLOAD DAY!!  Yippee Yahoo!
In this class, Heather showed us how to use a photo as a background.  Very easy!  Thanks Heather.
I used a 11.5 x 11.5 photo box.  The only other thing I used on this page was Baja Breeze paper for my background and my mats.

You still have time to sign up to Heather’s MDS Made Simple 2 class otherwise you are really missing out!  Watch for another page I did from Heather’s 1st class next Tuesday & my regular scrap page on Friday.

MDS - Meeting Minnie, Heather’s Class

Happy Download Tuesday!  Check them out on My Digital Studio.net!Heather has given her students permission to post our pages that we made in her 1st class to our Blogs.  I intend to post a class page every Tuesday and keep my regular Scrap pages coming on Fridays as I have done over the past year.  She has a 2nd class going on that you can still get in on HERE.  You just don’t want to miss it!
Another CASE of Heather's page.   In this class, she showed us how to make little journaling strips.  I totally stayed away from my alphabet punches because I found them too hard to make all the same size.  Well, she had a video on how to resize, change color & even mat our alphabet punches all in one step!  Now I use my alphabet punches a lot!  So easy!  Thanks so much Heather!

Papers: Christmas Jingle, Love Letters.

Embellishments: Staple & Stitching, Sending Love Epoxy Brads.

MDS - My Digital Studio Cheat Sheet

There is much chat about how to print out a list of the downloads you have in my MDS so as not to double order several times. Printing a list of what you have would be helpful so I want to show you how I make my Cheat Sheets.  They are a quick reference guide for me.
Printed on a 11x8.5 paper.
I print everything out that I purchase on to 11x8.5 paper as I sure cannot see them within the program.  I paper fill punches for the DSP. I zoom in and move the punch around so that it shows some of the specialty parts of the paper and sometimes I simply zoom in so it shows more of the paper.  You don't get to see the whole paper but you can see the colors at least. I try and print the kits onto one piece of paper so that I can see at a glance what comes with them so I re-size things until they fit.  Some kits are fairly large so they do take two sheets.

I have done this since I started with MDS so it’s just a matter of keeping up with it. I would never remember what stamps/embellishments etc are with what kits if I didn't do it this way.  It works for me.

I have also printed out the whole catalogue.  I then highlight my purchases.  I have saved myself money by checking my printed catalogue first, before making a purchase!  I have a 3-ring binder that I keep my catalogue in.  I keep my Cheat Sheets in the same binder as my catalogue.
