SU199 Torn Paper Background

This technique was published in the Scrap and Stamp Arts, June 2010 magazine.  I'm sure I have seen this technique years ago but have never tried it until now.

Stamp Set - Elements of Style

Cardstock - Barely Banana, Mellow Moss, Sahara Sand,Chocolate Chip, Spring Flowers DSP (06/07 Idea Book).

Ink - Chocolate Chip

Accessories - Scallop oval punch, Wide oval punch, Mod Podge, sponge, Scallop trim border.

Begin by tearing your decorative paper into strips of varying sizes.  Swipe all four edges with your ink pad - see below.
Now tear these stips into small pieces of various sizes & shapes.  Apply ink to the uninked edges - see below.
Glue these pieces onto a scrap of paper at least 41/4" x 51/2". The pieces should overlap each other Once you have it completely covered, apply Mod Podge to the entire piece. When dry, trim to measure 5" x 33/4".
