SU006, SU007, Streaking

Stamps: Ageless Adornment

Cardstock: White card, White Glossy

Inks: Black

Accessories: Crayola IQ markers (yellow, green, brown), Paintbrush for watercolouring, Post it note for masking, two way tape, Xacto knife, Makeup sponges

Streaking Technique - Stamp the image in the center of your card. Stamp the image on to a Post-It note and cut it close. Cover the image with the Post-It note. Ink up a makeup sponge with the tip of the yellow marker by pinching the marker a couple of times, getting the sponge fairly wet. Set the sponge on the Post-It note and pull it towards yourself – only swipe one time. DO NOT go back & forth. Do this in four to six areas on the cardstock. Ink up another sponge with a green marker. Use the same motion as above, overlapping the color in some areas. Finish by inking another makeup sponge with the brown marker, streaking until the cardstock is covered. Remove the Post-It note.

Seal with cheap hairspray or Sealant to preserve the color.

SU027, SU028, Wax Paper Resist

Wax Paper Resist - Take a piece of Wax Paper slightly larger than your glossy cardstock. Crumle it up and then smooth it back out. Criumle it up again and smooth it out again. The more times you do this, the finer the resist will be. Usually a couple of crumples is good tho.

Sandwich your wax paper between two pieces of Glossy Cardstock, with the glossy sides facing the wax paper, both top and bottom. Using two pieces of cardstock yields two backgrounds in one step. If you're going to drag out the iron, you might as well make a few sheets of this at a time.

Iron over your paper "sandwich" with a fairly hot iron without steam.

Take pieces apart and throw wax paper away. If you want to make two more sheets, repeat as above with a new sheet of wax paper.Brayer over your glossy cardstock with Dye Ink. Cover the entire piece of cardstock.

Wipe over your cardstock with a paper towel. The ink will resist where the wax from the wax paper stuck to the glossy cardstock.

SU177, Wings of Friendship

This is a swap card I made for 'Different Occasions Card Swap' hosted by Maria Oppenheim from Calgary, AB. My plan was to follow the sketch for 'Mojo Turns 100 - Day 2'. I stamped and cut out the pieces then took them to the lake with me to finish. However, I forgot to take the sketch so I just put them together the best I could remember. I forgot to round my corners and to add the ribbon! He turned out looking like a cute little jigger just the same!

Scan doesn't show but I colored the center of the flower with the Certainly Celery marker then added a touch of glitter glue to it.
